Jamie Talen, an acclaimed science writer who has focused on the brain, has released a book on atypical dementias. In it she features CADASIL and the lives of three CADASIL patients and their families. The book can be purchased for $29 on Amazon.
The author received her masters in public health at State University of New York at Stony Brook. She worked for the New York daily newspaper Newsday for 25 years, covering the brain. In 2008 she started an art and literary journal, Narrateur, at The Zucker School of Medicine, where she is an assistant clinical professor of science education.
