The Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias (ADRD) Summit 2019 was organized by the NINDS and held in Bethesda, MD to address research priorities for Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias, including CADASIL and other vascular dementias. At the 2019 Summit, progress on the research recommendations developed by the 2013 and 2016 ADRD Summits were reviewed to assess whether new recommendations were pertinent in light of recent scientific discoveries. The Summit also aimed to solicit input from diverse stakeholders, including the public, and to update priorities and timelines for addressing Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias. Sandra Talbird, cureCADASIL Trustee, attended the Summit to meet researchers, ensure CADASIL patient voices were heard at the national level, and understand how CADASIL fits into the National Plan for ADRD National Plan To Address Alzheimer’s Disease: 2017 Update
