Join cureCADASIL on Tuesday, November 18 at 12 PM ET for an exciting presentation in their CADASIL Connection Webinar Series, featuring Joseph Arboleda-Velasquez, MD, PhD entitled: Repurposing a Pill Therapy for the Treatment of CADASIL.
Dr. Arboleda-Velasquez is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Scientist at the Schepens Eye Research Institute. He earned his MD from the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia (2000), and his PhD from Harvard Medical School (2009). He later completed a research fellowship at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear (2010–2011). His research focuses on small vessel diseases that affect the eye and the brain, an area directly relevant to understanding and treating CADASIL.
In this session, Dr. Arboleda-Velasquez will discuss how existing medications may be repurposed to offer new hope for individuals living with CADASIL.
