Repurposing a Pill Therapy for the Treatment of CADASIL
Dr. Arboleda-Velasquez is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Scientist at the Schepens Eye Research Institute. His research focuses on small vessel diseases that affect the eye and the brain. In this session, he discusses how existing medications may be repurposed to offer new hope for individuals living with CADASIL.

Dr. Helena Karlström
Immunization Therapies for CADASIL
Helena Karlström has made important contributions to understanding the mechanisms in Notch3 biology in relation to CADASIL. Her lab aims to better understand the molecular mechanisms of this condition to develop therapeutics. The hypothesis: if the immune system can be harnessed to clear Notch3 deposits, CADASIL can potentially be halted and progression reversed.
